Mastering Your EFEL Setup

Step 1: Mounting
Two Ways to Secure Your EFEL
There are two primary methods to attach the rest to your violin or viola. Choose the one that feels most natural to you.
Method A: The Directional Slide
Slide the open side of the wire legs onto the edge of the instrument and slide in the direction of the arrows to a position that suits you.

Method B: The Stretch & Snap
• Place one side of the rest in its usual position.
• Slightly stretch the other side and pull it over the violin's edge.

The Confirmation: In both cases, you will hear a distinct "double-click"—this confirms that the lock is engaged and the instrument is securely attached.
Check: Ensure all 8 rollers are firmly in contact with the instrument's edge.

Core Technology
Dual-Spring Technology
Our dual-spring system features a sophisticated spring structure within the support plate. A sensitive 1.1mm spring near the neck/scroll side adapts to your collarbone, while a robust 2.5mm support spring maintains the overall shape.
How to shape: Lightly grip the support plate in your palm and rest your thumb on the stronger 2.5mm spring (identifiable by its higher resistance). Apply pressure to shape it; the weaker 1.1mm spring will follow automatically.
Step 2: Custom Shaping
Tailored Ergonomics
To eliminate pressure points, adjust the height, tilt, and profile by stretching or bending the wire legs. Apply firm, steady pressure until the wire holds the new shape.

Step 3: Verification
The Flat Surface Check
After shaping, verify alignment by placing the support wire-down on a flat surface. Adjust until it sits perfectly level without wobbling. This ensures balanced pressure from all 8 rollers.

Longevity Care
✅ Grip Tension: If it feels loose over time, bend the wire feet slightly inward.
✅ Roller Care: Clean rubber rollers with a damp cloth to maintain grip.
